# NOIR troubleshooting

### Resource will not start

Check the first startup error, not only later dependency failures. Confirm the exact resource folder name, the Library, and all required dependencies. Start dependencies before the pack.

For an escrow entitlement error, confirm the server is using the account entitled to the asset and that the downloaded resource is complete. Do not modify protected files.

### Item does nothing or reports a missing export

Confirm the item is registered inside ox\_inventory's returned items table and its export matches the installed resource. Reload inventory definitions during maintenance. Check for duplicate item keys.

### Icon or model is missing

Copy `install/images` into `ox_inventory/web/images`. Preserve case and filenames. Keep `stream/props` and `stream/animations` intact, then reconnect.

Use `/noirdiag` for nearby diagnostics or `/noirdiag models` to investigate models.

### No target interaction

Chest bags have no placement target; open their pockets from the item's menu while worn. For placed backpacks, purses and pouches, confirm ox\_target is running, approach the placed bag, and check that the player and bag are in the same routing bucket. Inspect nearby diagnostics and console errors.

### Bag is busy or unavailable

Allow any active operation to finish, then retry. If it persists, inspect the first relevant resource, inventory or database error. Do not delete metadata, SQL rows or stash contents as a quick fix.

### Cannot put a bag inside another bag

This is intentional. Nested bags are blocked. ox\_inventory may print a rejected-hook message for the blocked action. The Library's debug switch controls its own debug output, not ox\_inventory's logging.

### Carry animation stopped

Other emotes, pointing or weapon actions can interrupt the pose. After an emote, choose the carry mode again. X releases Hold Straps into ordinary wear.

### QBCore setup

Set the pack framework to `qbcore` and the Library framework to `qb`. NOIR still requires ox\_inventory and ox\_target with a compatible framework integration. A framework selection alone does not install or adapt those dependencies.

### Information for support

Provide the affected product/version, framework and inventory versions, reproduction steps, and the first relevant error. Explain whether it affects a new bag, an existing bag, or both. Redact credentials, server keys and private player details.
