# Usage & controls

### 5. Use a bag

Give yourself an item using your existing authorized inventory/admin system and the exact item key from the supplied items file. Use that item in ox\_inventory to open its interaction menu.

Wear on your back, hold the straps, or carry in your left or right hand.

Choose **Place on Ground** to position the bag with object\_gizmo. Once placed, use ox\_target for the available storage, movement and pickup actions.

Removing the visible bag does not delete its inventory item or contents. Placed bags retain their saved state across normal server restarts.

### Carry behavior

The shared carry policy allows one primary bag (backpack, purse or chest bag) plus one pouch. Bags cannot be placed inside other bags.

External emotes and pointing suspend the bag pose; select a carry mode again when you want to resume. Weapon use also pauses carry poses. Backpack **Hold Straps** can be cancelled with **X**, returning to ordinary back wear. The key is configurable.

### First-use checklist

* The item has the correct icon.
* Its menu opens and the model appears.
* Available carry modes attach correctly.
* Placement, storage and pickup work.
* Stored contents remain after closing and reopening storage.
* Bag-in-bag attempts are rejected.

### Need help?
