## General installation steps

Use the copy button on Lua, SQL and configuration blocks. Read the destination above each block before pasting: an item-table fragment goes inside items.lua, SQL goes into your database tool, and ensure lines go into server.cfg. These blocks are not interchangeable.

1. Download the resource through the delivery method supplied with your order or free release.
2. Extract the archive. Find the actual resource folder containing `fxmanifest.lua`; avoid an extra nested folder.
3. Keep the supplied resource folder name unless the product guide explicitly allows renaming.
4. Place it in your server’s resources directory.
5. Install and start the dependencies listed in the product guide, in the stated order.
6. Review the configuration before starting the resource.
7. Complete only the item, database, or asset steps required by that product.
8. Start the resource in your test environment and check the server console and client console for errors.
9. Test the documented features before bringing the change to your live server.

Use exact filename case, especially on Linux. Keep a single active copy of the resource.

## If installation fails

Record the first relevant error and the action that triggered it. Repeatedly restarting without addressing the error can hide the original cause.
